NQTs often bring exciting ideas and a fresh approach in departments. However they need a high level of support if they are to be retained and as effective as more established staff. Finding time in a busy school day can make it difficult to support NQTs. We can provide support in a number of different ways:

In class: supporting the NQT in lessons, teaching lessons, team teaching or supporting a class whilst observing and supporting with development

Observations: a more formal approach to supporting NQTs

CPD Sessions: Sessions can be focussed on mathematics or a series of session more generally developing classroom practice
